Environment and Energy Commission

ICC Kenya was established in 2019 as the National Committee of The ICC in Kenya. ICC Kenya’s membership consists of business associations and corporate organizations from all sectors of the economy. The main objective of ICC Kenya is to work closely with the ICC on policy advocacy on behalf of the Kenyan business community with international operations as well as linking members to the global business community thereby exposing them to an array of opportunities.

The ICC Commission on Environment and Energy, acts as a voice for business, representing the interests of ICC members in dialogues related to sustainability issues. The commission also examines major environmental and energy-related policy issues of interest to business via task forces and thematic groups.

The commission is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices in the private sector. To achieve this goal, the commission is encouraging the use of renewable energy sources, such as electric vehicles, motorcycles, and tricycles. As part of its efforts, the commission recently hosted a Forum on E-Mobility at the end of February this year. During this forum, your institution actively participated and provided valuable support to further the cause of sustainable mobility solutions.
